2 things:
i'm using firbird, and just spent five minutes looking for the 'Post New Topic' button, but couldnt find it. opened IE and its there, top right! weird.
also...
can anyone tell me how i can get my favourite icons to appear (in firbird)? all my favourites just have the blue page icon.
many thanks

Sounds very strange, what version of firebird are you using (Are you using a nightly build?).
everything works smooth here.

You mean, the post new topic icon on this forum? It's definately there for me...

The 'favourite icons' work fine for me as well --- not al websites have favicons, so it might be that the websites you have bookmarked don't.

hi peeps,
yes, no post new topic button. i'm using version 0.6. (yes, i know it probably needs updating. i'll do it when i have a minute.)
favicons: the favicons display once i've visited the relevant site. its a bit weird.
i'm going to download/update my firebird, hopefully that will sort it.
cheers

I am using the 10th nightly build this month, works perfect, be sure that you don't OVERWRITE your exisiting files, because that will lead to trouble.

In regard to the favicons it does that on my copy of firebird, but I thought that was normal. I would of thought that to download the copy of the icon, you would have needed to visit the site.

bondjamesbond: yes your right, of course you have to visit the site to have the favicon cached. cheers.

lazerzubb: hmmm, i'ld like to update my firbird, but not save over existing files? i'll go to the update section on the firebird web site and get it sorted.

many thanks.

danlott, no problems. I am not sure about updating firebird as I thought version 0.6 was the latest version? I could be wrong but if there is a later version can you let me know? Cheers!

0.6.1 is the latest. UI changes in preferences dialog, built on 1.5. :)

I had a problem like that some while ago with Mozilla 1.2.

I had accidentally clicked the "block all images from this server" option.

Took a little while to figure out what had happened. Still accidentally click it once every few months on some site or other.
