I've been trying to setup a page with some reporting.net affiliate code pointing to expedia.com. The page to view is <edit> - on it you should be able to see a vertical banner on the right, and a search/wizard box under 'Other Options' - both expedia.com
Here's my problem - I can't see the searcg box under 'Other Options' - I've checked on mmy wife's computer, my client's computer, and they have no problems, so I know this is a local problem - I can't see that box in NS7 or IE6 or Opera... I've contacted support and they suggested deleting all cookies (why this would effect a javascript I don't know) to no luck....
Can anyone suggest what might be 'in' my computer which is stopping me viewing this?

You should remove your URL from your message as per the TOS.
Did you try clearing your cache? That sometimes does weird things for me.
Are you getting any javascript errors showing up? Some scripts will cause errors on one computer but not another, depending on the version of (and the updates on) a particular browser.
I'm having a nightmare trying to view this URL. I've turned off script blocking in Norton Systemworks. I've checked hosts.txt. I've cleared my cookies and my cache. My wife uses the same ISP so its not that. I've fiddled with IE setttings (but I can't view it in Netscape either)...
So can someone suggest what and where this thing is that won't let me view this one url please? I'll try every suggestion and a prize to the winner!

you've already checked the hosts file so that eliminates something i found on a friend's machine the other day [where a bunch of advertising sites were listed and being sent to some ip in verizon's network... it was causing major slowdown as the site wasn't running...]
there was something else i was also thinking of but i misplaced that thought ;(
oh! could it be that somehow a malignant browser helper has snuk onto your machine and is blocking or redirecting access to bfast.com to somewhere else? this is another feature of programs in the spybot-like catagory...
i found out about the malignant browser helpers via the "spybot - search & destroy" support forums... they also recommend using "hackthis" to search for things that spybot may not locate... maybe we should move this to stickymail?
it is possible that clearing the browser cache didn't clear *all* the files... i've found, even with IE6, that i still have to manually clear the "temporary internet files" folder manually... on w98 boxes, i actually deltree the entire folder along with the temp folder in the autoexec.bat during bootup...
could it be possible that there is also a caching "proxy" server between you and the 'net? some ISPs or their ISPs do this and may or may not say anything about it... they tend to do it in the name of bandwidth management... i don't know how you'd determine this without their help, though...
you also said that you are running a norton item? firewall? can't remember... anyway, could it be possible that the domain in question is blocked there? i don't konw as i don't run norton or mcaffee since they became so commercialized... in their beginnings, they were good but now? not IMHO... i think i still have first versions of their stuff, too :)
anyway, i'm tossing ideas and thoughts... something will hit and fix it for you... maybe it'll give others an idea, also, that may point to the solution... myself? i block ~all~ ad sites without fail... makes for a much faster internet... cable, dsl and even dialup haven never been faster since after the early days without it all :):):)
