It depends on your site but if you search Google there are a number of companies offering free services although the free services are sometimes limited in the number of pages they will index.

I usually recommend one of two options. First is www.atomz.com. It's free, it'll index a good number of pages, it has a powerful search engine, and you get a customizable results page. I've been using them for 4 or 5 years now and its just been solid as a rock. Users get along well with it in my experience, and I really like the function that lets me correct common misspellings so my users will get better results (well... better than they deserve, ;-)) And if your needs grow, they offer a commercial version with higher capacity.

My second choice is Google's site search. They'll let you install a Google search box on your site for no charge. The only downside is that its based on their standard index, so it will only search pages that Google has crawled. For smaller sites, I don't think its the best choice, but Google is obviously an excellent search engine and the service is free.

I tried to use atomz.com and I found out that I had more that 500 dynamic pages! Atomz won't let you use the free search if you have over 500. Is there a different alt using m$ technology? My site is built on ASP.
Thanks!

Picosearch are good at spidering dynamic content, they pick up most of my dynamic pages and offer search statistics as well. However they have recently introduced Google-style targeted advertising on their search results page.
