Getting a full page after a link in a frame

I have a page that allows users to go outside of my site, but I put the page they are going to and a header for my site in frames. I want an option so that the user can get rid of my header if they want. I have everything working good, except when they click on the link to get rid of the header it reloads the "external page" in the frame that the header was in. I expected this to happen, but was wondering how I could implement the page so that when they click on the link the page refreshes or whatever to the way the page would look if they had just went to the site on their own. I hope that this makes sense.

Now anyone know how to close the entire window (the window with the two frames)? I have a link that "goes back to my site", but since the framed window is opened in a new window all I need to do is close the framed window page.

Try target="_parent" to see if it does what you want.

Why make them click an extra time to get rid of the header? Do it for them with this.

This not only opens the link in a new window without your header it also brings them back to your site when they close that new window.
