My website is about 70k total in size. After reading this forum, I realize that the size is a bit high for optimal loading. Can anyone with a 56k modem test it for me, and let me know how much it bothers them? Any suggestion on optimization, or comments on the website will be appreciated. The site url is <sorry, no personal URLs>

thanks,

Please don't post links to your own websites here. It is against the policy of these forums.

But yes, I had a look.

It took quite a while to load. Too many large graphics.
I would be put off browsing it if every page takes that long.

70 kBytes = 70x8 kbits, but to take into account start and stop bits, and parity bits, etc, use 70 x 10 = 700

( 700 / 56 ) = 12.5 seconds

Multiply by some efficiency factor, say 60%:

12.5/0.6 = about 21 seconds

Graham is right about the terms of use, but it goes further than that... Requests to review your site are really frowned upon! It would be better to just ask for general hints on optimising a site for size. But before you do that, I'd suggest you use the 'site search' feature at the top of the page, as there are many threads which already deal with the topic.
