I am in the middle of building an e-mail newsletter for my clients and am using multi-part alternative MIME formatting to send both an e-mail and plain text versions of the newsletter in the same message, leaving it up to the user's e-mail client to decide which to display. I know that this method is a little controversial, but after a lot of thought I've decided to do it this way.
My question is, do any of you know of a plain text only (non-HTML) e-mail client that is still available for download? The HTML version of my newsletter seems to be fine, but now I need to check the plain text version of the e-mail and don't have a text only client to test it on. I thought Netscape 4.7's e-mail client would do, but it seems to render (somewhat) HTML e-mails.
Any help or links would be much appreciated. Thanks.
