Text countdown to window close script

can't find a decent one anywhere

I've been looking all over the place for a script that counts down to a window close event for a pop-up window.

The closest I've found is at http://www.ilovemlm.com/affiliates/popdbp5.shtml, but this writes the countdown within a form field, whereas I want it to be on-page text.

Any help or pointers much appreciated.
