My web site loads as a pop up window. Is there anyway to load my pop up window from a computer, where the user has installed a pop up killer?

Popup killers and Browsers with built-in popup killing (e.g., Opera 7 or Mozilla 1.3) work by refusing to open "unrequested windows". Because of all the popup killing, sites are starting to put links that say: "Click here if popup does not appear". In your case you could put a link on the main page saying: "Enter" or "Launch Site". By clicking on the link the user is "requesting" the popup window, so it will open.

The solution I posted on that referenced thread is a good workaround for many pop-up killers. But some software (e.g. Panicware) will not even let the regular link work if there's a javascript onClick function.

That's overkill, IMO, but there you have it.

Why does your website load as a popup window?

I hate it when websites do that - It's very annoying and unnecessary.

Usually they get rid of the menus & status bar too - even more annoying :(
