how to make your email account spam free?

hi, all. i was wondering how to make my email account spam free. i just put up a new site, but some clown has used my email address from my website to subscribe everything:( as a result, i'm no longer able to use the email since it's full all the time.

please drop a line to let me know how to get away with it, so that my new account won't be ruined once again.

It all depends on whether or not they got your email address by reading the site or by some crawler. You can defeat the software by giving your email address such as:

[e-mail] (remove NOSPAM). Software packages which look for the pattern of [e-mail] will pick up the wrong address.

By the way, if you figger out how to defeat spam, you will be a rich person.

If some person just read your site and subscribed you to lists, I dont understand since most lists defeat this little trick by sending an email asking the recipient to confirm subscription.

It entirely depends on the type of e-mail account you have, and its primary use.

If it's a personal account you can always block any e-mail that comes from users not in your address book.

Try using mailwasher.

It lets you bounce the email at the server level.
