Can you create a toolbar with dropdown menus

Just a thought for an intranet

Following on from the old frames with a drop down menu thread [webmasterworld.com...]

I had a thought about a Google type toolbar but with the dropdown navigation system on it(like the address bar)

For simplicity and info it is for a primary school, where the kids are always getting lost and a permanant nav system at the top of the page would work wonders.

Is this possible? & I gather it is out of the realms of HTML.

Yes it is not an HTML thing. You will have to write a component. There are a couple of toolbar builders, but they do cost a couple hundred.

you can certainly do this kind of thing with DHTML, especially if you know what browsers your audience will be using.

have a look at
[dynamicdrive.com...]
