img align="absmiddle"

replacement for validating code?

How do I get an image to align "absmiddle" with text without using absmiddle.

If I use "middle" it aligns the center of the image with the bottom of the text as opposed to the center of the text (like absmiddle)...

I'm trying to validate to 4.01 Transitional.

got it:

style="vertical-align:middle" seems to work

Anybody ran into any problems with this (excluding NN4)
