Email client with multiple users in realtime?

Top ranking, tons of emails, how to share the email?

We need to be 2 or 3 persons working in realtime on the same mailbox (thanx WW and all you guys & gals for the traffic) and are looking for a simple solution.

We have a small LAN with 4 computers running Windows ME. We live in a remote area and our knowledge of email clients is limited. We've been using Netscape 4.7 & switch to Netscape 7 since a few weeks and sharing shift working one person at the time but now the volume of emails is too big (there is not too many volunteers for the night shift). We have a slow dialup connection so we can't use a web base client.

Any suggestion for an out of the box multiple user email client or suggestions would be appreciated!

just setup an imap server and take an imap email client. i think that could be a relativly fast and cheap solution.

another thing might be using exchange, but that m$ proggy costs a lot and isn't that easy to configure. but its one of the few good one of m$.

Since I only want to share email, I would be happy to stay away of MS Exchange. I see in Netscape 7 FAQ that the mail box cannot be on a network drive.

I found a small program that permits that as well as up to 5 users in realtime but I can't find a way to import the mail from Netscape 7.
