Each browser has it's pro's and cons which do you prefer?

IMO:

Phoenix because of it streamlined code especially after last release and overall simplicity.

Phoenix does it for me.

The preferences toolbar extension is a pretty useful SEO tool - turn off javascript, pop-ups, proxies etc.

Can't say I notice much speed difference though

yeah pheonix is browser of choice for me right now.

I think I just have a strong sympathy for anyone trying to make a small and efficient program!

I hardly ever use Mozilla anymore. Phoenix is much nicer, though less mature. I didn't use the email and composer anyway, so I had little use for the rest of mozilla.

I haven't noticed any differences in speed (on linux). I do hear complaints that there is no quickstart on windows.

In phoenix I particularly like the possibilty of having a search box in the toolbar. A Control-L takes me to the address box, and a Control-K takes me to the search box. It even remembers old searches and show them in a menu as you type. Quite handy

Then I like the possibility of selecting some text on a page, and having a "Search the web for ..." on the right click menu. It is also in mozilla as of 1.2.

Phoenix does lack the point in the View menu that allows you to change between alternate stylesheets. Mozilla has that.

Phoenix is that it is being written by geeks for geeks, not fore mass consumption. That makes for more function, less bloat, less undesired features that make Mozilla target the bell curve.

So, any Linux users using Phoenix over Galeon? If so, why?

I do. Initially just to try it out, and then I got stuck.

Also, in Debian, galeon was kind of on/off, since an upgrade of mozilla would often uninstall galeon, until the maintainer of galeon got the package updated. It wasn't a problem in testing, but I would normally pull mozilla from unstable to get the latest and greatest.

Switching to Phoenix brought me mozilla 1.2 functionality long before it arrived in debian.

I just got stuck. It really suits me well. I have set up some preferences so I can switch between mozilla and phoenix and use the same bookmarks, but I cannot do that with galeon.

Galeon os very nice, but I like switching at will, and it was a bit more difficult with galeon, due to the different bookmark format.
