Hi, I am NOT a techie but have had some success in getting a website ranked very well on Google (touch wood) My pages use the doc type as follows... <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
The site is created using Expression Web 2 and the ONLY reason that I used the above doc type was as it seems to be the default on EW2. Should I go through all pages and change the doc type to "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"?
It is a fairly basic text website with the usual images etc...
I have however noticed recently that for ALL of the website pages the Internet Explorer (7) circle icon just keeps 'spinning' and doesn't resolve to the IE Icon... although all of the pages resolve.. and with the 'Done' on bottom left appearing and the green bar along bottom gone.. any suggestions gratefully recievd.

I have resolved the IE Icon spinning... this was due to a Bookmark feature which I have now disabled.
