hiding affiliate links

Hi. Can anyone tell me how to make the redirect links? I want to hide them like www.website.com/site to redirect to www.site.com/aff495365834856884386348... I was thinking about .htaccess but can't find anywhere on the net how to set it up...any help please?Like total step by step guide how to make it I would appreciate it a lot.

Take a look at mod_rewrite (assuming you're using apache). It's server side, so take a look at our apache forum [webmasterworld.com] or alternatively it can be scripted using perl [webmasterworld.com] of php [webmasterworld.com] or so and those will have their forums too.
