Could NOT open http,https & ftp - after an update

Hi all,

Recently while using comp it asked for automatic updates. I accepted it. After the updation i am unable to access net. I did "network diagnosis" using Tools option in IE7.
It gives a mess could not open "\\http
could not open "\\https
could not open "\\ftp

After i tried repairing OS, re-installed network drive but none of them worked

Please help me!

Automatic updates for windows. I shall be trying firefox today. Shall get back to you on the status

I have had this kind of stuff happen recently. A lot. I detest Internet Exploder. :-)

You can try this: in my case, it turned out to be a Java update. Don't know or care why.

Select Tools-> Enable or Disable Add Ons.

Write down every single add-on that is ENABLED. Begin turning them off one by one (or turn them all off, then re-enable them one by one to find the errant one.)

Restart Internet Destroyer and try again.
