Hello everyone. I have read the guidelines and posted accordingly I believe. I am newbie here and to HTML & CSS.

I posted last night in the CSS forum under topic, IE7 & Firefox 3 not displaying CSS background properly, but IE6 is. I am looking for an answer to my image problems. All code has validated using W3C Validator with no errors and works in IE6. My editor is Dreamweaver CS4. All pages validate there also.

My code snippets are shown under the CSS forum post. I thought it might be wrong to post code in 2 places. I would appreciate any help I can get. My other post spell out my skill level and what I am doing to improve my skills. I do not have the skill to figure this image problem out.

My website is hosted now and displays well enough. It works perfectly in IE6. I have read leaving IE out of the picture is best when developing but I don't have the skill level to work with the other browser constraints. I would like to get the image problems solved. I am a bit of a perfectionist. If anyone has an answer I welcome it with open arms.

Thank You again

Welcome to WebmasterWorld overland48rookie.

I don't have an answer for you, but you'd probably want to reference the thread you're mentioning [webmasterworld.com].

Thanx Bill Your Welcome and response are appreciated. I have been reading a lot of the CSS threads and haven't found an answer yet. May you could point me in the right direction?
I hope someday in the near future I can give back.

Thanx Again

Just a note to let those looking at this thread, I solved my problems. The not centering issue was due to a margin issue in the CSS. I discovered this one by trying different align elements.
The image problem was due to a fixed element in The CSS. Once the fixed call was removed the image displayed as called out. All is well now. Simple errors but for a rookie, tough to discover.
My advice for those in similar situations is experiment, learn by doing as I did.
