Can sIFR headers act like normal text headers?

I recently noticed that some news sites are using flash header (h1, h2, etc) generators to add some style to their headlines (fonts like Univers). What I was wondering was if anyone could point me in the right direction when it came to:

- where do you start if you wanted to create dynamic flash headlines (mainly for CMS)?

- is it still sIFR if the headline is not an image but just a swf with fonts embedded?

sIFR is "Scalable Inman Flash Replacement" and it does its work by embeddding the font in the flash file and scripting it to pick up and render the headline. The image replacement technique is called Fahrner Image Replacement (FIR) - or one of its offspring such as Shea or Phark.

Ah, I knew there had to be a logical explanation. Beautiful. Looks like they're is plenty of info out on the web regarding CMS and sIFR. Thanks tedster. Good to see that you're still holding the fort down with a good breadth of knowledge.
