Update breaks IE 7 . . . again

Typical.

I don't recall specifically which update it was. There are just . . so many . . . so often . . .

XP Pro, latest updates
IE version 7.0.5730.11

Connection via LAN router, satellite.

All other browsers functioning normally, no connection problems.

Problem: After latest update, it just hangs accessing *any* web pages. Waiting. Sometimes if I "play" with the LAN settings, it will come back, for a time. On next relaunch . . . hang. There doesn't seem to be a single LAN setting that fixes it. Of course I did some worthless searching, nothing fruitful.

Has anyone got documentation or solutions on this?

<20 minutes later>

I stumbled on a resource that suggested starting IE with all add-ons off. Turns out it was a Java add-on.

For others:

Main Menu->Tools->Internet Options->Programs

Bottom of pane is "Manage Add-Ons"

Look for anything "unverified." Disable. Restart Internet Destroyer.
