Wow, it's been quite a week for browser collectors. In the past couple of days, we've seen updates for Opera, Firefox, Internet Explorer (to fix the widely-published security vulnerabilities [webmasterworld.com] in IE5.01 through IE8), SeaMonkey, and Camino.

I think it's only been a few days since my Safari browser (on Windows) updated itself, and Google Chrome updated just over a week ago.

So that's seven browser updates in eight days. Have I missed any others?

So many Apple updates, and Safari for Windows has been quite flakey for the last few weeks.

I had no issues with it in the early days, but having a few problems lately.

.

Having said that, I also have a permanent error message in Firefox caused by some extension or other updating a few weeks back.

I get:

Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIStringBundle.GetStringFromName]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: XStringBundle :: getString :: line 17" data: no -- null
XStringBundle (line 17)

all the time in Firebug.
