Chrome: Referrer not Passed when You Choose 'Open in New Tab/Window'

I can't be certain, but whenever I right click and open a link in new tab or window in Google Chrome, it does not send referrer to next page, while other browsers IE or Firefox send this info. But if you click on the link, then referrer is passed.

Have anybody else noticed the effect?

Note that I am using 1.0.154 version of chrome (not a beta).

Interesting. The referrer (HTTP_REFERER) server-side variable works, but the javascript (document.referrer) object doesn't.
