Hello kevino, and welcome to the forums.

The first thing you need to do in cross-browser problems is ensure that your mark-up is valid:

W3C Validator - HTML [validator.w3.org]
W3C Validator - CSS [jigsaw.w3.org]

Only then can you sanely start to debug rendering problems. If you have valid code and haven't been able to fix this issue, first check the thread called LINKS and posting CODE [webmasterworld.com]. It offers help for how to discuss your questions and stay within our forum policies. That thread is pinned to the top of the HTML forum's index page for easy reference.

It also sounds like you may have a discussion that's better for our CSS Forum [webmasterworld.com] - you can start a new thread over there (same policies) if that sounds right to you.
