Writing back to the web page

Is there any JavaScript code or something similar (not very hard) that posts the info back to the web page after the user submits e form.

I'm creating an invitation page and I want my friends to be able to confirm their attendance by posting their names on the page so everybody will see who's going to be there.

Why don't you use a Guestbook? Many online resources that will host if for you, or you can grab your own copy of a Guestbook script and install it on your server for a more customized approach. Do a Google search.

For something like this, I think you might want to look at a CGI script, or a simple database solution.

My company used a service like this for our holiday party and it was pretty cool.
