And get rid of those awful noisy popup ads: Get the Flash Uninstaller at the Macromedia site! Who knew?! It's buried there on a FAQs page. Get the uninstaller here:

[macromedia.com...]

Cheers:)

Welcome to WebmasterWorld grange,
don't forget to read paynt's welcome post [webmasterworld.com].

I may be a little slow, but what does flash have to do with pop-ups? I understand that you can drive javascript through flash to have pop-ups, but you would have to have flash to see the page anyway. I think you would be better off surfing without javascript turned on.

korkus2000:

I was recently on one of the major travel sites, and every page I went to had a floating FLASH ad on it that covered the page until it played it's whole run. I decided then and there that FLASH would no longer be on my machine!

As grange said, finding out HOW to uninstall it is a pain... but now I have noticed that I am getting fewer ads.

Never liked FLASH much anyway... and it is NOT coming back on my machine!

Hm...Come to think of it, most of the annoying pop-ups I get are Flash-based. Thanks for the link.
