Header Banner

Hi guys,

I hope this is the right place to ask how i can add a header banner on my site, like the one on this site? I must state that i am designing my site manually.So, how can i place that banner?

Will be grateful for any advice.

or

<div>

with the appropriate colors and/or background images.

Actually what i meant was a Banner Heading, the small icon that appears in the address bar on left.I hope that is what it is called.How is that placed there?

You must create an icon file called favicon.ico and put it in the public root directory of your site.

Do a search for free icon maker.
