Hi, I've downloaded the Lynx browser zip file. Unzipped it, and I don't know what to do next. I read the "read me" and "installation" but they sound like it's written for programmers. I don't understand what it says.

Can anyone simplify the installation process for me?
Like ..1. click abc.bat 2. click 123.exe ....

My Lynx version is 2-8-5.
I tried searching this forum, found some guides related to 2-8-1. It says to look for lynx.bat and lynx.exe, but my version doesn't have any of these files.

Are you sure you haven't downloaded the source code rather than a pre-compiled binary version?

Assuming you're running Windows, the easiest way is the follow the link and instructions by le_gber in this post about Lynx (#3187713) [webmasterworld.com] in our Accessibility and Usability forum. :)

it looks like you downloaded version that you have to build.
Follow the links that encyclo provided to download pre-compiled version

P.S. actually here is the link:

Use the one marked "2.8.2rel.1 (old stable)" - it's not the latest version, but as the name indicates, you'll get a good stable installation just perfect for testing.
