Marquee with XHTML

Does XHTML support Marquee?

Dear Frnds...

My site has marquee on the top of the page and now i want to make my site xhtml and css complaint. So does marquee is valid for xhtml and css?

And if it is not valid then is there any other option to use marquee?

The

<marquee>

tag was never an official HTML tag so it won't allow your code to validate in HTML or XHTML I'm afraid.

Other options could include Flash or animated GIF alternatives.
