As long as you selected the appropriate option for the display you actually use, IE7 should be just as clear as any other browser.

Did you select the ClearType option for LCD displays when you installed IE7? If so, are you actually using a flat panel? As long as you selected the appropriate option for the display you actually use, IE7 should be just as clear as any other browser.

No, I'm not using LCD monitor. I'm using a Flat Screen CRT monitor.
Also, I'd like to add to my first post "What can we, as web publishers do in the mean time to address the blur text in IE7 so that the readers don't need to strain their eyes?"
In that case, make sure you DID NOT enable ClearType when you installed IE7.What I'm saying is that IE7 looks just fine to me, on either CRT or LCD, as long as the correct ClearType option is selected...

I wasn't prompted for any options when installing IE7. So I didn't choose anything. How do I ensure that I've installed the correct clear type?
The manual configuration is accessible at:
Start->Control Panel->Display->Appearance->Effects->Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts
Select "Standard" or uncheck the box, whichever gives you the best results.
I'm sure many users have the wrong setting here, but as Webmasters there's not much we can do about it.
