IE7 & absolute positioning

IE7 opens a centered image on the left margin?

IE7 opens an image centered in its container block with that image against the left margin. If I use the refresh button the image pops to its proper centered position.

Has anyone seen this? Is there an easy fix for it?

Are you setting the width and height of the image - either in the HTML or the CSS?

Are you able to isolate the HTML/CSS that is causing the problem - copy it into a new page - does it still do the same thing? ie. There is no other elements effecting it?

I have heard of (in these very forums) of images displaying/positioned incorrectly in IE (not particulary v7), but OK after a refresh. I have not witnessed this myself, however, as the problem (I believe) does not always manifest itself on every platform. But an incorrectly set width/height on the image is a probable cause.

Thanks Pender for your reply.
I have specified both width and height dimensions.

I have been opening IE with this particular page. I find that when I navigate, in IE, from the home page to this particular page everything works fine? (This is the way I would expect viewer to reach this particular page, actually.)

If anybody has any idea why IE behaves inconsistently depending on the page with which it is opened please let me know.

Everything works fine in FireFox.
