How many times do you have to delete that annoying Links link from your favorites in Internet Explorer.

1 more time and I'm switching to Firefox.

This annoying link keeps popping up, even though there is nothing in the folder.

I have mine dragged down to the task bar, next to the system tray, (and then shorten the width so's that only the word 'links' appears with a pull up arrow). In there go my favourite of favourites. Makes for quick and easy access to my most visited sites.

If however you really need to get rid of it, there is a registry hack you can do that should do the trick. A simple search [google.com] should point you in the right direction.

go in to your favorites, (under the c drive) right click on it, go to properties. check the hidden box. (this may not work if you have it set to show hidden files)

The "Links" folder in favorites is used by the links toolbar. That's why it's always re-created.
