IE7 favorites - how to collapse the folders?

argghh...i hate how the new favorites opens up ALL your folders. Is there a way to have the favorites default to collapse the folders?

Are you talking about the favorites as displayed on a taskbar or via the menu? I'm not sure exactly what you mean when you say all the folders are opened...

You cannot collapse them, so you do this instead:

1. Click the yellow favorites star, or press ALT-C
2. Click the green arrow ("pin the favorites center")

This will show your current COLLAPSED (yay) favorites list.

3. Find the place you want to add your bookmark/favorite into
4. Drag the URL and drop it where you like.
