MSN.com shuts out non-Microsoft browsers

Users trying to access Microsoft's MSN.com with a non-Microsoft browser [news.cnet.com] are finding themselves locked out.

No, it would be if I could find the link again. The ISP homepage was messed up yesterday all plain text, and the link was on there. I'm looking around to try to find it again.

I am in OK with XP, NN4.7 & JS on.

No problems other than the normal Physical Revulsion of further contact with Micro$oft.

In OK here with W2K and NS 4.79 w/Java enabled. I occasionally encounter pages with javascript bugs that work OK with IE and crash NS, suspect this may be what you encountered. Generally the webmaster becomes aware and corrects the bug within a day or two.

Your right, in fact they did present two different versions of the site, depending on which browser you were using.. one working one for IE, and one broken one for Opera..

Deliberatly screwing up the viewing experience for Opera users, thats pretty low. Anyone know if they are still doing this?

Now, thats dirty pool. Bait and switch based on whose browser you use? It is apparent that being in court on anti-trust charges has no effect whatsoever on MS practices. Gawd, I hope someone in the justice department is watching more than the legal pleadings.
Business as usual at MS.
Break the rules, get caught, break more, different rules, tie the US up in court - and keep ever more intrusive products coming.
