Does anyone know where I can find a list of the 'best' HTML color codes? I'd love a PDF or page that has a list of the form:

sepia [color example] color code
sky blue [color example] color code
...

Preferably I'd like a list where someone has actually gone through and picked the more popular/good codes.

Just found this but there's really too much there... anyone know of a more selective list?

This is more like what I'm looking for:
[december.com...]

Any other suggestions like that? Or a site that has several different color schemes and the corresponding colors/codes.

I use this [web.njit.edu]....for the most part ;)

Although it's long, it's separated a little.

If you're looking for colours will replicate best across all browsers, try the WebSafe palette [techbomb.com]. If you're looking for the colour names supported by most browsers, try here [w3schools.com].

The most complete dictionary of colour names that I have found is the NBS/ISCC Color System [anthus.com].

My favourites, because of their layout are coloria [coloria.net] and colourlovers [colourlovers.com].

This one [bigbaer.com], by a former moderator, can be saved as a sidebar

Nice one Suzy UK. That one fits pretty well with what I want. Being a programmer and not really a designer I just want an easy way to pick some color codes to plug into CSS and that fits the bill nicely.
