I am sure that this is basic but I can't seem to find the information. I recently changed computers and my new computer came with windows XP. There is a vexing problem. By default, all file extensions are capitlalized. I can't seem to figure out how to change this. I causes me a problem because when I type URLS in e-mails, it automatically converts certain characthers to capitals. Then when the recipient of the e-mail clicks on the link they get a "page could not be found" error message.

I typle this:

http://www.example.com/bluewidgits.html

and it gets converted to:

http://www.example.COM/bluewidgits.HTML

HELP!

You mention email. Is this only happening in Outlook?

It's happening in Icredible Mail. The files in my documents, desktop, etc. are fine.

I would definitely look to the Incredimail help files and support for the answer. Do you have any "helper applications" installed for your email, such as software to recover deleted messages and so on? There are several that play around with file extensions.

Whatever the cause, it is mostly likely not in the browser.
