Can someone please tell me I am having so much trouble and my web host never answers or replies to questions (Domain Direct).

After I write the html keywwords and meta tags for my website then it tells me to save the file and create a link to my webpage. Now I did save the file in html but where do I put this link on my website i am at a loss after I create the file for html website optimization in the search engine.

Can someone please tell me what to do next.

thanks,
Sandra

The meta tags (keywords and description etc) go in the <head> section of your html page.

after I create the file for html website optimization in the search engine

Every html page needs to contain these meta tags in the <head> section. There is no one file that you make for 'optimization in search engines', every html file should be optimized and contain the relevant meta tags.

create a link to my webpage

In order to get indexed by google (or others) it is necessary to get a link to your site from another site/page already indexed by the search engine.

In order to get indexed by google (or others) it is necessary to get a link to your site from another site/page already indexed by the search engine.

You can request that Google index your site here:
[google.com...]

You can request the Yahoo index your site here:
[submit.search.yahoo.com...]

You can request that MSN/LIVE index your site here:
[search.msn.com...]

However, it IS beneficial that you receive a link from another website that is already in the SE index..however that's NOT the only way to get indexed.

If your site is new, it may take a long time before the SE's come around to index your site without a good link from an established website...

Hope that helps...

my web host never answers or replies to questions (Domain Direct).

also, forgot to mention, this isn't the kind of query that your hosting company is likely to want to help with unless they are particularly unusual...

NOT the only way to get indexed

absolutely! I just wanted to explain why the advice to get a link was relevant.
