I am thinking of chaning the text font on my site to give it a fresheer, modern look....but not going overboard with something that just looks stupid.

right now i have:
td {
font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 11px;
color:#000000
}

that continues to be the theme throughout the site with a few adjustments here and ther for my HEAD tags...

is there something nice and clean that i could use in repalce of this?

"nice and clean" ... and universally available?

Other readily available sans-serif fonts you could try include Tahoma and Trebuchet MS. They're not universal, but worth a look. You could also investigate using a different font for headings compared to the body text.

Eras Demi ITC

It looks nice, but I can't find any record of it being preinstalled. You could go down the sIFR route and buy a copy for your headings. Trying to use sIFR for body text is not a route you want to go down though.

Just a note -- sIFR is free.

Oops, that came out wrong. I meant buy a copy of Eras Demi ITC and use it with sIFR.

image replacement might help for headings - verdana for the rest.
