Letting users post pictures and add comments

Hi, I have a newbie question:-)

I wish to open up for users posting pictures onto my website, but i have no idea as to where i can read more about what code or applications that is needed to add this feature. Anyone?

Also i would like to enable users to post comments to articles and such.. Again, i have no idea where to find code examples or applications..

Hope the question does not sound too stupid.

You need more than HTML, you need some server-side scripting (and serious security measures, too - watch out for the common freebie scripts). Search our site for terms like [upload scripts] and that should get you started. The discussions will be specific to the techologies and server being used, such as ASP or Perl, IIS or Apache, and so on.

You might be better off signing up for one of the many third party photo gallery products that are available. Most of these seem to come in both free (with advertising) and paid for versions.

Any major search engine will find some for you.
