Hi,

I have a mac mini and have continuous problems loading webpages from sites like apple and micro$oft. I have tried Safari, Opera and firefox with the same issue.

A PC on the same netork with xp & IE is fine. Another PC with Win2K and IE has exactly the same issue as mac mini OSX.

This is very frustrating ... any help much appreciated

I can understand troubles with the Microsoft site. It's one of very few domains where I often need to load up IE 6 Win to see pages correctly. This is because the MS site is coded with lots of IE proprietary functionality. And since there is no current version of IE for Mac, I can easily see troubles coming up.

In fact, I sometimes have Windows troubles with any site on a Windows IIS server if I use an Opera browser - Wired Magazine for example. The urls never seem to finish loading, and I need to click the "Stop" icon to get out of hourglass land.

But having trouble with the Apple site is more confusing. They are served on Apache/Darwin which should fit hand-in-glove with Safari running on OSX. I assume you have tried a reinstall of the browsers involved?
