Site not viewed correctly in IE6. Font size problems?!

When viewing my site, the layout is pushed appart.

I'm working on a site and it displays perfectly in Opera, Mozilla and IE7 (in which I've designed the site) but apparently not in IE6. See this screenshot: <edited>

The first image is with Font Size set to Normal. The third image is with Font Size set to Extra Small (accidently found that this is causing the problems).

To get that button (second image), right-click on the toolbar and choose Customize and select Font Size on the left and drag it to the right window.

Does anyone know of a workaround for this issue? I've never had this before so I have no clue on why this happens.

Thank you very much in advance,
Stefan

I've finaly found the problem (after 3 days..). Actually quite stupid really. There were some images which I had deleted and which had alt tags (with a lot of text in it). The alt text caused to layout to 'stretch'.
