Serious firewall problems

Norton-like problems but even worse

I'm away from home and using a PC with the latest edition of eTrust personal firewall (upgraded a couple of days ago). So far as I am aware, this is simply Zone-alarm rebadged. Here are the problems encountered so far...

1) Removes some linked images.
2) Stuffs up some javascript.
3) Stuffs up at least one map service (on a well-known UK property website).
4) Stuffs up my webmail service.

If I've encountered all these problems in just a couple of days, I imagine it's causing problems for a lot of users and websites.

Hmmm... I haven't heard of such widespread troubles with Zone Alarm. Maybe they tinkered a bit too much with their private label version.

At least Norton seems to leave my webmail alone.
