Why does the useragent Java keep requesting the file "/¦.txt"?

I keep finding 404 errors from different IPs requesting the file '/¦.txt'

I keep seeing 404 errors from different IP addresses reporting various versions of the UA Java requesting the file '/¦.txt' (without quotes). Does anybody know what is up with this?

I've tried searching for this topic, but funny enough search engines don't index the characters '/' or '¦' in their indexes so I can't find matches for "/¦.txt". I'm seeing about ten to twenty requests for this file each day and it has me really puzzled.

Some answers about the user agent in this thread. Apparently used only by writers of custom spiders -- so who knows why that filename is being requested.

Maybe what I will do is ban UA Java and IP address combinations that request this file. My hunch is it is some sort of spammer or someone up to no good.
