Mozilla 1.0 problems

Mozilla was running fine until I used Netscape 6.2 to test some pages. Since then both Netscape and Mozilla have had trouble displaying images and won't read CSS. The problem isn't there when I check pages on the local drive, only when browsing them on the web. Any ideas?

Mike, a number of us have experienced problems when running NS6.x and Moz on the same system. It appears they "mess each other up!" You may have to uninstall both and then reinstall. Right now, I've opted to keep Mozilla on this box and forego NS7... I'm sure you will read more of other member's experiences.

Thanks. I figured this was probably the case.

I did however solve my particular problem. Clearing the disk and memory caches in Mozilla set both it and Netscape right. Maybe it had something to do with Mozilla caching the pages when I originally viewed them on my local drive and then some confusion about the relative paths to images and css when browsing them on the server.

Typically the problem first arises when Moz and NS6.x run simultaneously. I haven't tested with MOZ 1.0 and NS7, my experience occured with NS6.2.1/6.2.2 and Moz 0.98/0.99 (mix n' match! a winner everytime!).

Has anyone had any problems running newer builds side by side?
