Browser Checkers? Also, screen sizes?

How can I check my site in different browsers?

Hello ::

To change resolution:

Go to My Computer on your desktop > Contol Panel > Display > Settings >> You may have a slider to change from 800*600, 1024*768 or 640*480 >>> These sizes are most important.

bear in mind that people may well not view your site in a full size window...and that ,amy factors affect the rendering of the site other than screen resolution

I test by setting the screen res high and playing around with window sizes...then I go look on a few other computers...finally I ask for crits on Usenet web authoring groups

Yes, asking for critiques (not at Webmasterworld) is an excellent method because they will be viewing your site on a configuration that you have no possible way of simulating.

While you're changing screen resolutions, you're also in the right spot to change color depth. I suggest making a color depth check early in your design process for any templates to come up with - I've had some big surprises when I first started doing this.

There are also some free utilities for download around that show different browsers/resolutions without changing settings.

Never would have thought of that, thanks!

I keep a couple of older laptops, one mac and one windows nt, with older versions of the browsers installed. This works great for testing the older versions.
