Layer attributes being transferred from page to page..

I am giving users an option to hide or show a certain layer usng the DIV tag. I have several pages with such an option. I would like to know if it is possible to carry from page to page a certain property of the layer. For example, if a user decided to hide Layer-A on Page 1, (by default, Layer-A will show on all pages) if the user clicks on Page-2, I need to have Layer-A still hidden.
Is there answer to this???

Yes, it is possible.
You'll need some server-side scripting though. like php of asp.

It's also possible without server-side scripting, by using JavaScript and passing a variable between pages in the link url. It's not a tidy way to do it though, server-side is better.
