NN 6 - Scrollbar weirdness

with overflow:auto

What is the deal? I have a div set to overflow:auto; when the [dynamic] content inside gets longer, the scrollbar shows up just as it should. However, in Netscape 6, clicking on the arrows of the scrollbar cause the div to widen mysteriously.

If it's not clear what I mean, trying folding down the items in the prompt list on this page: <http://www.queerbordello.com/radiovoodoo/scroll_test.html>. Warning: the page causes NN4.x to totally die. That's fine; our customers are required to have 5+ browsers.

Does anyone have any ideas for a workaround?

Thanks!

Hi eeblet,

Just tried your page in NN6.2 and the scrollbar all seemed fine.... Maybe I'm not getting you but I had a good look and nothing on the page seemed to behave unexpectedly.

thanks for testing -- did you try unfolding the menus & then clicking on the arrows of the scrollbar? if so, then NN must have fixed it between 6.1 & 6.2, in which case we'll just ask customers to update their browsers. :)

Yeah, I tried everything that looked tryable.

I too have had trouble with NN6's scrollbar, particularly in layers on dynamic pages: problems included: No scrollbar appearing, just the arrows and the scrollbar not moving when you dragged it but the page still scrolls - very weird.

i've sufficiently tested & confirmed: this is a bug in NN 6.1, fixed in 6.2. Thanks!
