The site is not geographicall restricted so no worries there, Im thinking in terms of an international audience
I guess American spellings of words will be more competitive, and will also bring more visitors.
Either way, it seems that US spelling is going to be the 'norm'
Should I seriously be considering switching to US spelling?
In Chile they referred to 'Americans' as North Americans or 'estadounidenses' (U.S. citizens). The term 'American' was rarely used. But if it was they used it to describe anyone in North or South America. A famous quote by Simon Bolivar (Bolivia is named after him - he was one of the 'Liberators' from Spain)
he said "America es mi patria" or "America is my Fatherland"
The Web is worldwide and if your audience is international, you should take note of cultural differences.
