Alt-P opens the Preferences Menu where all settings, including History and cache settings may be handled in a number of ways. The History section allows control of Back and forward as well as Typed in and Visited including the number of addresses and the ability to clear history.
Check Modified has multiple settings to manage Documents, Images and Other; settings for the three categories include: Always, Never and a configurable Days, hours, min.
You can also set the options to Always check redirect (documents) as well as Always check redirect (images).
Disk Cache allows you to set the cache size, as well as Cache documents, Cache images and Cache other.
You can also select Emtpy on exit and by checking the appropriate box (documents, images, other): Empty now.
F5 reloads the current page (no suprise there), right-click the page however will display the "right-click menu" where amoung other things you can set Reload every which when enabled, automatically reloads the current pages at set intervals. The presets range from 5 seconds to 30 minutes; a custom setting is also available.
The bottom line is that all options and controls are so accessible in Opera that managing all browser functions becomes almost intuitive. Total control!
The "Auto Reload" feature is a great option for those who frequent news and sports sites as well as forums and discussion groups, it is also a MUST HAVE for every member of Webmasterworld who anxiously awaits the (mostly) monthly Google update.
I think next time I will configure Opera to reload the Google Update thread every 5 seconds... After all, it's fun being the first to shout, "Houston, we have UPDATE! WW3 & WW2 have moved to ONE!"
