I thought Netscape sucked, wow XP has been a real headache or us.
4 of our designers have the new HP installed.
We notice XP has allot of mouse over viewing conflicts.

I've heard lots about Java issues with IE on XP -- Sun is pushing hard on MS about that one.

If you can zero in on the Forms problems for us, that would be very helpful. I'm not about to install XP myself, so I'm relying on the community here for reports from those who already have made the move.

> I'm not about to install XP myself,

Since I publish to the whatever-comes-out-of-the-box consumer, I migrate along with them so I can see what they're getting. This time, it meant *gulp* going to XP Home, which I've been running for a week now. So far, other than some driver problems for my buslink external disk drives, I'm not having any serious problems. I haven't noticed any browser problems, though most of my surfing is on a fully updated IE6.

Like tedster, I have more than a few concerns re XP, so I did take the precaution to download all XP updates (there are a BUNCH), which I doubt many consumers will do. Also, my machine is 512K ram.

I installed XPPro for an IIS server and within 2 weeks reformatted the HD and put 2000 back. All kinds of connectivity problems.

the impression I get is that XP is fine for a single user home PC...but it is a real pain to use as part of a network

we are sticking at win 2k for a while yet

the sysadmin here had a lot of problems with IE when he first installed XP which caused him to switch to opera. It was fixed in a patch not long after.

If you get all of the available patches it should rectify most problems.

Though I am not a fan, we use it in a large network and it seems fairly stable, for a windows machine.
