Netscape is killing me....again

Form fields are HUGE

I'm trying to put a form field text box in a page (actually, several of them) with multiple lines. No matter what I do, whether setting the width or leaving the option blank, it looks fine in MSIE and miserable in Netscape (the form field is enormous).

In order to counteract this, I have to make it tiny - it then shows up smaller than I would like in MSIE and perfect in Netscape. The problem is that the form field will hold 300 - 400 words of text when filled out and, of course, 90% of the population (or some such figure) use MSIE.

Anyone know of a way to get it right in both browsers?

Thanks in advance.

I had a similar problem and corrected it by moving my FONT tags around in the form.

I used the instructions from this article on the NetMechanic site:

Of course, if you're using CSS this won't help.
