In another thread Tedster mentioned a local validator. Can anyone recommend the best one and where I can get it? I would find that extremely helpful.

If you hand code, Chami HTML Kit [chami.com] incorporates a validator that activates with a right click. Handy for quick checks that pick up a lot of errors.
